While we’re on the subject of brights (Winky Lux Brow Palette), the W7 Neon Nights Colour Palette popped through my door the other day. There’s a real colour vibe going on at the moment, fuelled by festivals I think, and the anything goes attitude. The more rainbow, the better, basically. But, they’re not the easiest shades to wear.

So, I went through my MAC Trends book for ideas – I don’t think you need to take the looks too literally: these are amplified colour looks for the runway, but they do give you a sense of how the bright shades can be used. There seems to be a lot going on UNDER the eye – it appears you can get away with all kinds of colours as a single lower lid line that you can’t if you put it all over your lid (a la Miss Blue in the picture above). I completely love the yellow lid even though I’d never do it myself.

In terms of swatching, I thought the W7 Neon Nights Colour Palette did quite well.. the colours seem true to the pan, although I haven’t tested the shades on the lid for longevity. It’s £9.95 HERE but do shop around a bit .. I have seen it for less.

I recently bought a neon brights palette (different brand and now I’m sorry I didn’t see this one first – I may look for this one). I thought it might be fun to reach outside of my comfort zone (you and I are the same age) but I haven’t tried the shades yet – so brilliant timing on your post. These shades are really trending. I agree the yellow lid look is quite lovely although I don’t think I could pull off a yellow lid. I’m thinking perhaps I could reverse the shades and do a pink lid with a different contrasting shade underneath as there’s quite a few options in this palette. I saw the notion of using them as brow shades first by a different HE brand. I think this palette is a much better option (price) to purchase for a trendy look. Thanks for your review!
This palette looks gorgeous; I have wanted to buy a nice brights palette for so long now but I never felt I could pull it off. But, reading this, I feel a little more confident so I may have to experiment:)<3

I don’t think I could ever pull something off like this! But if I could and wanted to… this palette would be amazing for that haha!
