I have a bit of a love hate relationship with the By Terry brand – I think it’s SO expensive, but I have to say that when Terry gets it right, she gets it very, very right! And, that’s the case here with the By Terry Rouge Expert Click Stick range. The teardrop shape of the lipstick is exactly right for a perfect lip fit and I think it’s the easiest lipstick application you’ll ever make. When I tested these, the contour element was amazing. The way the contour stays sharp is that you click to send up the right amount for application – so you are only every using about a milimeter of product at the very edge of the bullet.
There’s also a slight curve (which may disappear over time – I’m not sure how that can stay throughout the entire tube) which again gives a perfect ‘hug’. The formula is matte (I can’t wait for a sheen version) and the colours are bold. I’m very impressed at the last of these – several hours in and the colour is still going strong. I’m not a fan of matte so I’m always looking for the downside, but although I don’t like the feel of a matte lip, this version hasn’t dried them out and nor has it ‘shrunk’ to make lips look more creased than they would with a sheen version.
The shades I have here are Pink Pong (oops – that didn’t translate very well!) and My Red. There are 25 shades coming and the By Terry Rouge Expert Click Stick will cost £24.50 from SpaceNK on 1st September. This one is a HUGE recommend – set your calendar!

The shape of these look very similar to the Benefit They’re Real lipsticks that are coming out for Christmas. I think they claim to be a liner & lipstick in one – presumably the pointy part being the liner. Price wise I expect Benefit to be the winner!!
