[sample/affiliate] Honestly, you could not surprise me more with the price of this – £20. Normally, I associate Shiseido with much higher prices than that. A full size lipstick (4g) is £25 while these two smaller ones are 2.5g each so you are definitely getting a bit of value there, as well as the packaging.

Shiseido Beauty Blossoms Cracker

The theme of the collection is blossoms, referencing the brand’s Japanese roots. There are a couple of skin care variations in the cracker vein; one is Waso Cleanser and Hydrating Cream, the other is Bio Performance and is £5 more.

I’ve never opened a Shiseido lipstick and not been impressed by the angular precision of the tip – when the lipsticks are smaller it seems even more pronounced for some reason. The lipsticks are in the Modern Matte Powder formula and the shades are Peep Show (the nude shade) and Mellow Drama (the stronger, red shade). These are amongst the silkiest and lightest mattes you will ever wear and has the benefit, if you don’t do well with mattes because they make your lips look dry, of having a kind of blur effect.

Those chiselled tips give such good swatches! That’s one quick stroke from each one so the colour level speaks for itself. If you can ignore the Christmas packaging, this is a good way to experience luxury lipstick at not such an alarming price. The set is HERE, non affiliate HERE.
