Sephora Kiss Me Gloss

Sephora Kiss Me Gloss

While I was away (in Spain), I spotted a Sephora concession in the local department store. This is a place I go at least once a year, sometimes more, and it definitely wasn’t there last time. Sephora has been exploring concessions within stores in the US with JC Penney for a while now, and I’ve seen Sephora concessions in French department stores, but it’s the first time I’ve noticed it in Spain. It could have been happening for years, to be fair, but I’m wondering if it’s working really well for them whether this could be a model for the UK. They had a LOT of Tony Moly products but since I had most of them anyway, I opted to pick up this little Kiss Me Gloss which looks cute and performs better than I was expecting. I would have got more things but I was very put off by the sales assistant trying to explain Korean beauty to me – I did say that I knew about it and was familiar with the brands but she wasn’t having it so I had to do a hasty retreat.

Sephora Kiss Me Gloss

I don’t think I’ve seen a roller gloss in this format – a cross between Bonne Belle and Eos. It’s more of a glossy lip tint to be honest, and the roller isn’t what you would call precise in application, but if you ‘kiss up’ your lips you get a decent application. It’s very sheer with a tiny stain element – this shade is Candy Desire, but there are five others (think Dreaming of Dessert, Strawberry Obsession etc).

It was 7 euros so I’m not complaining – there isn’t any balm element though.. it’s all tinty-gloss. You can find it from Sephora.fr HERE.

They have also opened concessions in the Manor department shops in Switzerland since last year

I remember rumours some years back about them going into Marks & Spencer, which came to nothing. This was before M&S revamped their beauty halls and got loads more brands in.

I’ve heard that too.. and current rumours for the same in another high street department store.

I have nrver really understood the fuss about Sephora. I have been in various ones in Patis many times and don’t think they offer anything different from say John Lewis or Boots.

Sephora is a common sight on Italian high streets if anyone’s planning a holiday in Italy this year.

I love Sephora! The happiest day of my life was when I discovered a store in Downtown Disney haha, the happiest place on earth indeed! I’m not as in love with the ones in France, they didnt seem to have anywhere near as much to choose from. The two stores I’ve been to in California were spot on though, the staff were so friendly and really helpful. I got the Sephora advent calendar last year and it was so much fun, absolutely loved it. I would be over the moon if they opened in the UK and brought all of the brands they carry in the US
