This collaboration between PUR and Dr Seuss is very unexpected. Suddenly, the brand has a fun side and if you’re one of the legions of Grinch fans then it will be right up your street. Animation collaborations with beauty brands do very well mostly (I’ve got some L’Oreal Mary Poppins lipsticks on order from Italy) but I think its success will rely on there being a high resonance with The Grinch. There’s a brand new Grinch film launching on November 9th so you’ll see Grinch merch everywhere. Personally, I love the line ‘it’s never too early to be annoyed by Christmas’ – that’s a T-shirt waiting to happen…
So, as you can see, it’s got detailed pop-up elements and when you pull out the tray, 12 eye shadows are revealed.
Personally, I like the colours and the glitters are VERY sparkly! There’s also a colour-change balm that looks green but turns a bright pink. I haven’t swatched this because as all the Christmas stuff rolls in I’m hoping to second-life at least some so they’re not just sitting in my beauty room gathering dust. Don’t worry – you won’t find me E-baying – I get a lot of charity requests at this time of year :-).

The palette is £39 and there is also a set of brushes in a The Grinch purse, and a 4 piece mask set (very cute in ornate little pots). My goodness – I noticed that the 4 little mask pots were actually a copy of Les merveilleuses Ladurée loose powder blush!!! How can they?!
