I’d be highly surprised if any brand can beat the beauty of the Paul & Joe Winter 2016 packaging. Set in a snowy Japanese fun-fair, the detailing is gorgeous – I want to supersize it and have it as a picture on my wall!

Of course, there are the obligatory Paul & Joe cats…

…not minding the winter weather at all! So far (there may be more to come) the collection comprises three nail polishes and two glosses. I love a Paul & Joe gloss – they’re a proper, gloss-lover’s gloss being a little bit sticky and ever so shiny.

At the moment, my samples have only numbers: names usually come when the products are on sale (ASOS is a good stockist for this range), but there are two pastel cremes, one pink and one a (bit of an odd) yellow-cream. There’s also, as you can see, a shimmery burgundy. I’m a bit of a fan of pastel cremes in winter – they can look so pretty against the backdrop of wintery coloured clothes.

Here they are on the nail wheel – see what I mean about the yellow?

Yes! There’s a Paul & Joe Advent Calender coming – I’ll drill down the details a bit nearer the time but it’s going to take some stiff competition for anything prettier this year.

The two glosses are one toffee-neutral and a raspberry pink shimmer.

As you can see, they’re fairly translucent so perfect for anyone who likes a hint of colour on the lip.

I don’t have a launch date yet – this is just a sneaky preview of the pretty things to come from Paul & Joe Winter 2016.
