This is my first foray into Natasha Denona products and I think I started in the right place! Selfridges has plenty of pulling power for international brands and can insist on products that are UK exclusives to just them which means that beauty fans can get things that aren’t available anywhere else. Everything about this palette is impressive and it’s a long time since I’ve swatched and reviewed a palette of this size- 28 shades.
Natasha Denona is an international make-up artist in the very sense of the words – Croatian born, Germany raised, she landed in Israel where here beauty career took off. Her biography is HERE and it’s an interesting read. This palette covers off the purple and blue spectrum (and the blues are perfect) but as you can see, has a healthy proportion of neutrals too. So, if you’re a neutral fan that likes to dip into navy, burgundy or even a mermaidy turquoise, it’s all here. In terms of quality, it’s exceptional – beautifully buttery, smooth and colour true shades that literally glide over the lids. Even the mattes are like velvet which marks them out from the dusty, dry old things I’ve seen of late. However, you really do pay for this level – the palette is £205 HERE. Actually, one of the things I noticed is that Selfridges product photography is really good – the colours are so precise so if you’re browsing the Natasha Denona range HERE, what you see is pretty much what you get, and there are plenty of products that aren’t this costly.
I’m swatching vertically starting with the four neutrals: Cool Plum, Satin Skin, Lavender Grey, Deep Slate Grey, Vintage, Smoky Plum, Electric Violet, Nina’s Orchard (exceptional shades: Lavender Grey).
Oxide, Rosewood, Maroon, Aubergine, Golden Beige, Golden Rose, Piggy, Calypso Blue (exceptional shades: Golden Rose, Golden Beige).
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
Quick Silver, Steel Blue, Metallic Steel Blue, Smoke, Deep Pacific, Powder Blue, Petroleum Blue, Koh Tao (exceptional shades: Metallic Steel Blue, Petroleum Blue).
Glaze, Gray-Brown, Chromatic, Navy (exceptional shades: Gray-Brown).
