[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This is my favourite ever Marc Jacobs palette – the cherry pattern packaging has something of a retro vibe but the colours inside are 100% present day.
I think this is eau de nil in colour – maybe a bit more vibrant – but that’s a hard shade to exactly pin down. The cherry detailing is perfect – absolutely perfect – and a delightful embellishment.
One doesn’t want to be parted from the other so I won’t be throwing the packaging away.
The colours inside are all cherry themed – of course – Starting with Decadent, Juicy, Delicious, Ask For, Extra, Cherries, On Top. Don’t forget, they all run together to form a sentence.
The first shade, Decadent, is a wash of glimmer – you can use it with any of the other colours or alone as a lid frosting. The other shades are well selected – either a neutral eye with no cherry influence at all or all guns blazing on the cherry-ness! And of course, any mid-way point you feel like. I can go all the way to last but one – I don’t think my eyes can take On Top, more’s the pity but I’ll play about a bit more in due course to see if it’s workable. I like the way this palette is heavy or light, I love the decorative element and I’m very happy to have it. It’s one to keep for a future ‘look back’.
You can just see how smoothly it all goes on – one swipe of each with the sponge applicator to get the full effect. There are four other items in the Very Merry Cherry collection – an O!Mega All Over Foil Luminizer, a Velvet Noir Full Volume Mascara (with a cherry coloured ‘jewel’ on the top of the wand) and a lipstick. It’s only seeing the lipstick that suddenly I’m reminded of the Gucci cosmetics collection. Anyway, this is a big thumbs up from me. The palette is £40 HERE, non affiliate HERE.
