What’s noticable about the Marc Jacobs eye shadeows is that they’re very soft which makes for some outstanding blending. Unlike plenty of ‘luxury’ formulas, this one really does live up to the description. The matte shades kick up a bit of ‘dust’ but the ones with a metallic element don’t – do not dig in there though, you need to go softly with the brush because a little goes a very long way.
The swatches are one swipe of a brush – which is actually too hard for a lid application but good for a swatch to bring up plenty of product – so you can see that the pigment is all there. I’m massively distracted at the moment by a side-story of same-formulas in different brands and price brackets which I need to do a bit more research on, so I feel sceptical of many things right now, but this palette does feel properly in the luxury bracket. Anyway, so it should for £45 HERE.
