I am kicking myself for being so slow to flag up the Make Up For Ever Lip Fever Pink Passion collection – three pink powered products as a trio of limited editions from the brand. Pink Fever is the start of several limited colour edits so next time I will try and be quicker off the mark because these have sold out on line at Debenhams (although I am assured they are still in store) but you can order from Sephora US.

Starting with Lip Blush in the dusty pink shade called Exaulted Rosewood, it’s a powdery, matte finish that’s really pretty if you love a matte lip. The second shade is Flushed Cherry Artist Lip Balm, and it’s a baby pink with a sheen. Actually, this is my favourite although I don’t wear baby pinks very often, but this one seems to be the perfect shade that just brightens up your look. It feels beautiful on the lip – a balm/gloss hybrid and not sticky at all. It looks very pale in the swatch but once you have your own natural lip colour behind it, it livens up.

The swatch is the best place to show the pow shade of Artist Acrylip in Electric Fuchsia – a very vibrant, glossy finish that isn’t for the shy! For some reason I got a bit of a back taste from this – but if you generally don’t mind that slightly waxy flavour that some glosses and lipsticks can have, I shouldn’t let it put you off – brights this bright don’t come round that often! I’m guessing the next Lip Fever collection will be red…
They’re £15 each.
