MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick

MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick

I said I’d give you a closer look at the MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick NW45 because never would I have thought to use a deep tone concealer as a bronzer. I went to get colour matched for the new foundation but totally had my head turned by this instead. With some posts you have to keep personal preference out of it – if all I wrote about was things that suit me alone, I’d soon run out of things to say. But, in this instance, I really don’t like shimmer bronzers and creme bronzers are quite hard to find. Powders often don’t work that favourably on older skin and I just don’t like the feel of it on my skin. I’m also not an extreme bronzer, nor a contourer: all I want is something very simple, no bells and whistles, to just give my overall look a summery, healthy tone.

In the swatch, I’ve diffused it down with an oval brush on my arm just as I do on my cheeks. I’ve left it slightly deeper than I would usually wear it, but it’s so versatile that you can have a ‘touch of’ or more. I literally just run my oval brush over the top of the stick and then take it straight to my skin. I’m so happy with this find – shown to me by a MAC Senior Artist – and would 100% recommend for anyone who wants more control than powder and blush can provide, good diffusion and no dry feeling. 1. As someone with more mature skin and pressed for time in the mornings I think that would be a perfect product for my needs. Next time I stop by a MAC counter I will make sure to ask for it.

  2. Great colour. I like the Soleil Tan de Chanel but the packaging is such faff. A stick bronzer is so much easier. H x
