[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Ooh, a new MAC foundation just slid out of nowhere – I have had the box sitting on my table for days (if not weeks – eek) thinking it was an advent calendar and didn’t need my attention immediately. But I had a big opening session on Sunday and I was very surprised to find a foundation!

MAC Studio Radiance Serum Powered Foundation Review

I’m all for a bit of glow – those who sit on the fence will be pleased to know that it isn’t tooooooo glowy or dewy. It’s a light to medium coverage and super easy to apply and blend.

I’m NW15 which is a neutral warm and a very easy wear for me. The texture of MAC Studio Radiance Serum Powered Foundation is light – not quite weightless but nearly – and I think you can feel the skin care element of it. It’s not really clear whether the serum in question is their newish Serumizer but they do recommend beginning with that and then applying the Studio Radiance foundation. Which personally, I don’t think you need to do because if the foundation contains serum, you probably don’t need it twice. MAC claims that the formula is 80% skincare and 20% foundation and I’d say that fits with the feel. 10% hyaluronic acid, olive oil, jojoba and vitamin E oils feature, along with another 29 skin focussed ingredients.

I think you can see in the picture that there is some light bounce – there would probably be more were it not such a gloomy day and that the coverage works well to even out my tone. Looking at this picture up close, I don’t think I’ve blended as well as I could have. If you know your MAC shade, this is an easy win, especially as there are claims on the skincare elements (such as ‘+209% instant hydration for plumper, smoother-looking and more radiant glow’ after 1 week – I feel sceptical on this kind of stat) that give it an edge over other foundations. If you like the look of it, there are 56 shades and it costs £39 HERE.
