MAC Strobe Dewy Skin Tint Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I didn’t manage to get a second post up yesterday – I am looking after a gorgeous dog one day a week (roughly) and honestly, he is such a (welcome) distraction. I’ll leave a pic at the bottom of this post but if I’m AWOL again, it’s probably Rocky’s fault :-). So, I’m going to say straight away that MAC Strobe Dewy Skin Tint is a yes from me with the caveat that it’s used a) sparingly and b) cleverly.

Admittedly, I have tested this on a sunny day but even in cloud, this is a very glowy product. I used Medium 2 which I don’t think is an exactly match for me but not bad.

So, you can see the beautiful light bounce from this – I did an video for Instagram HERE which shows you a bit better just how strobey this is although bear in mind that it does settle a bit. It would be my recommendation to use it as an addition to your SPF/Moisturiser/Usual base by mixing it in on the palm of your hand before applying with a brush. Underneath, I used REN Everhydrate (not yet launched) and a post on that is coming up soon.

This is how it looks out of direct sunlight. See what I mean about using it carefully? In less direct brightness, it looks much better and more natural. I don’t think I’d leave the house with it neat as my base because for me, it’s just too much of the glow, but as an adder for base or a light touch to moisturising serum or moisturiser, it’s a huge yes in terms of just giving what looks like naturally radiant skin.

Full on use would probably be (for me) night time or glam which I don’t do very often. It’s £30 HERE and a little goes a (very) long way. I’m going to have to take it off for my yoga class in a couple of hours because currently I look like I’m going to the Oscars. When the sun goes behind a cloud it’s much more manageable and bear in mind I have serum underneath so that’s contributing to the shine. I just feel it’s a boost for spring skin, a glam touch for summer skin and a saviour for winter skin. Big tick.

My distraction!

OMG, what a charming distraction you have now, Jane! French bullie? Give him greetings from my (now three… how did it happen?) beagles!

Your skin looks fab – I guess we can not give credit for this to just one product, but MAC knows how to be a cherry on top of the cake 🙂
