[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] As not much of a powder fan, I’m not as experienced in bronzing this way – usually I use a creme or liquid where I’m on safe ground. MAC Skinfinish Sunstruck Bronzer is silky, easy to apply and gives a natural warmth, although I have to confess that I went ultra-lightly with this. I think if it is at all practical, put your bronzer on outside or at least next to a window – I quite frequently have a bit of a confidence wobble on the way to the station wondering if I’ve got too much blush/bronzer on and have to check in the nearest mirror I can get to.

There are two finish options – Matte and Radiant with the latter, obviously, giving some glow. Of the two I prefer the matte which, in shade Light Rosy, is absolutely the right shade for me.

When it comes to bronzing brushes, the new brush from MAC is a fan style but I never see the point in this shape of brush if you are looking to warm your tone – warming doesn’t need precision, it needs a loose style with no edges or borders so that it looks naturally diffused on your skin. Personally, I prefer a fluffy style brush so that’s what I used in the picture below.

I feel quite pleased with that result – underneath I’ve used Chanel Water Tint, lips are Charlotte Tilbury Crystal Kiss and there’s no blush because it’s really not needed. I’ve paid attention on the cheeks and pretty much stuck to the number 3 swirl (start at temples, woosh in to the cheeks and bring out again at the jaw line so you are tracing through the number 3).

On the bottom swatch, it’s the matte formula and on the top, the radiant formula. Got to say, it’s weightless, given that it has a sweat, water and humidity resistance built in. There are ten different tones in both formulas to choose from. They’re £28 each and even if you’re a nervous bronzer, I think they’re so well crafted that they’re good for anyone. You can find them HERE.
