MAC Mineralize & Strobe

I’m a big fan of MAC Strobe Creams – I use them often to either under a BB base or mixed into foundation to give a glow boost, and it really works, too. I remember all the backstage excitement when the MAC artists were experimenting with new shades that may or may not ever come into full production. I forget which shades didn’t make the grade but Redlite Strobe was an absolute winner. The body lotion is Opalite (£25) that just puts an opalescent, silvery sheen onto your skin without making you all glittery. It’s subtle but beautiful – and an any age product for summer skin. What’s lovelier than gleaming skin in the evening light?  The Prep + Prime Fix+ is in Pinklite or Goldlite (soft pink and champagne gold iridescence respectively) and is £19.

There’s a new Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Whisper of Gilt (£25.50) – I don’t need to explain the light bounce on this – you can see it – and this is on a dull day!

MAC Mineralize & Strobe

At the same time as a reminder of the liquid strobes, there is a new, limited edition collection of Mineralize Blush as well as Strobe. Four Skinfinishes – the one I have here is Warm Aura (£25.50) and eight Mineralize Blushes (£23), with Hey Coral Hey showing above.

Hey Coral Hey is perfect for that slightly Frida Kahlo style blush – a flush of bright that’s perfect for high summer; tropical and vibrant.

MAC Mineralize & Strobe

Warm Aura surprised me by being less pink than I was expecting – it’s nuances of peachy pink, tan peachy pink, tea rose and cool toned rose. The overall result is a kind of brown pink sheen.

In the swatch (over Strobe Body Lotion that you can just see glinting) it’s Whisper of Gilt, Warm Aura and Hey Coral Hey. Nice, hey? Everything is HERE.
