Lottie London Wing Liner Stamp

I’m the first to say that make up is ageless – anyone can wear anything if they want to. But, I met my match today in the shape of  the Lottie London Wing Liner Stamp! I love a stamp and I can’t do wing liners so I thought my ship had come in with this.

As it turns out though, if you have one single crease anywhere near your lid or the outer area just after your lid finishes (is there a technical term for that bit where smile lines occur?!) then you’re not going to get so much a straight line as a corrugated one! I also noticed that my upper lid folded over the outer edge of the wing a bit. However, as I was playing about with this I wondered why nobody has made just a single line stamp that you can dot in stages close to your lashes across your whole lid (don’t worry about the wing) because this worked quite well at getting really tucked into the lash line apart from the wingy bit.

There’s nothing wrong with the stamp per se but you need firmness all over and around the eye area to get any accuracy or decent finish on this. At least with a felt tip liner (there is one at the other end of the stamp) you can modify as you go along with a wing and with a rigid stamp you can’t. Damn. I can’t remember thinking I’m too old for this about a make up product before! This hasn’t launched yet – I love the star stamp (see below) which is £5.45 so I imagine this will be roughly the same price when it hits Superdrug.
