Lancome Creme Blush Summer 2015

Lancome Creme Blush Summer 2015

The Lancome Creme Blush Summer 2015 collection is exactly perfect! I am such a fan of a creme blush and the textures on these are sublime, being slightly moussy, too. You only need the tiniest dab to get a semi translucent pop of colour (the most over-used term in beauty, I know) that gives a fresh looking flush (is that the second most over-used?!).

Now that Lisa Eldridge is the Lancome Creative Director, I think we’re going to see some real changes – as of now with this collection – Lisa loves a creme blush so I’m really happy to see things moving so swiftly. Usually, beauty brands work seasons ahead, not just one or two, so I’m not sure how much input Lisa has had in the Lancome Summer collection, but now these creme blushes have appeared, I’m thanking her anyway!

You can see in the swatch that they diffuse really well, but they are quite bright so go very gently at first. If I was to find fault with the Lancome Creme Blush Summer 2015, they don’t move about on the skin too well, especially if your skin is dry, so I’d always try and use a brush for these to get a good diffusion. However, they are very lightweight – and weightless on the cheeks – more for a ‘bonne mine’ look than full on rouge. The shades from left to right are: Rouge Mistral, Coral Alize and Brise Rosee. The collection has already launched in the US but not here in the UK yet – they will go exclusively to Harvey Nichols this month for £23.

colours are gorgeours…if only the packaging looked better :/ reminds me of those meteorites blushes, so cheap…
same goes for the new lancome lipstick (lipbalm?), the one in the white packaging with silver stripe…I saw it yesterday in store and I just cant justify spending 25euro on cheap white plastic thingy…

  2. I agree with moon. I love the shades, but the packaging looks awful! It doesn’t look like it’s from a luxury brand at all. It’d be a shame if that prevented people from getting and enjoying what sounds like a wonderful product.

I must admit I didn’t think the packaging looked especially cheap – just very different for Lancome x

  3. yum love a cream blush and those shades are all gorgeous. Much more interested in Lancome now that Lisa is on board…

Totally agree with moon and gio: package is really cheap-looking (one of the reasons I never wanted anything from Clinique).. I’m, probably, snobbish, but if I pay 30+Euro for a blush, I wanna also a bit of a show off. Even MAC looks more presentable.

I’m going to have to comment on the packaging, like the others. It looks like it’s VERY similar to a brand called Colourpop. Colourpop’s packaging is exactly like that, except theirs is white, though they did a limited edition item in a pink that exact color. And they also have a slightly moussey texture. So I’m wondering if these will be that much different, or should I just pay US$8 for a Colourpop one. Though I adore Lisa Eldridge!

I’m dying to try Colorpop.. I follow them on Instagram and it looks very tempting. It’s not likely that this is a Lisa Eldridge conceived product though – brands plan years in advance usually.
