Kat Von D Brow Struck

Kat Von D Brow Struck

Wow! Aside from hair, brows are my least interesting thing to write about and in fact, I rarely do – I just can’t muster any excitement whatsoever! But I’ve been testing the Kat Von D Brow Struck Powder and that amazing, amazing brush and together, they’re a revelation. I like the Benefit Brow Powder (HERE) and that’s what I use if I use anything at all, but the texture, smoothness and application of Brow Struck is going to take some beating.

The Signature Brow Pencil I can really take or leave – there’s nothing exceptional about it at all and it’s much like any other, and I think the key to Brow Stuck Powder lies in that applicator brush. It’s cut to give feathery strokes, which to a certain degree it does, but the angle of it as well as its flexibility means that it fits, flexes and glides so you need one stroke for your whole brow. Hugely impressed with this and it’s gone straight in the keep drawer. This shade is Taupe, which I immediately assumed would be too light for me, but it’s fine and actually goes on darker than it looks.

Ideally, I’d go the next shade along I think to Light Brown because they do seem to come up dark and they’re very pigmented. So, even if you bypass the powders, I think the brush is a must have. It’s £16 HERE and the Brow Struck Powders are £17 HERE.

Same here. I just don’t get the whole brows thing. I keep hoping that the trend for Insta-brows and Scouse brows will die, but it seems to be getting stronger! I wonder how people who do this to their brows will feel about it when they look back at old photos of themselves in 30 or 40 years?

  2. Just got the Kat Von D Brow Pomade and #70 pomade brush to test and they both rock! Amazing, smooth formula and the brush applies like a dream. Not sure I’d enjoy the powder version but who knows!
