[productsample] If there is any further evidence needed that the Insta-arch is on its way out, it’s when brands start to change their product line in the category. A far cry from paints and inks for brows, these Isadora Brow Powder Pens are more brow blur than power brow.

In use, they’re like using a very soft, artist’s pencil giving fine, but not sharp, feathery strokes to add depth of colour to your brows. I mean, in theory, you could go a strong as you like colour-wise by just applying and applying, but I think the point of them is to give a more natural effect. I use Benefit Fool Proof Brow Powder (if I use anything at all) and that’s a little bit more waxy in consistency – the Isadora version is pure powder, anti-stark if you like. I’m calling it a ‘lounge-brow’ in the sense that it’s a deconstructed and casual look, like lounge wear. I’m always happy to see a brow brush on the end of a brow pencil – very helpful. FeelUnique stocks Isadora but as yet, they’re not listed. Their other brow pens (more waxy) are £10.95 so I imagine these will be roughly the same.

My swatches are on one very chilly arm so please excuse the goose-bumps! From bottom to top are: Black, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Light Brown and Taupe. I’m Medium Brown, for reference.

I was waiting to going to order the Beauty Pie Brow Powder pencil last week but it went out of stock and will be until… June. I do like the concept.
