Guerlain Customisable Rouge G Lipsticks

Guerlain Customizable Rouge G Lipsticks

If you’re going to go the customizable route, do it properly! These new Rouge G cases from Guerlain are absolutely stunning and I feel have opened up a world of girlfriend gifting. The two I have here aren’t really the best examples of just how lovely and varied the cases are but I guess you could say they’re the more sedate and elegant in a marbled white and rose gold.

As well as choosing the casing and the colour, you can even get an engraving done if you wish. The thing about Rouge G is that it’s kind of cumbersome for a lipstick but the design is smooth and ergonomic with a double mirror inside that opens up as you take out the colour, it’s really something more than ‘just’ a lipstick.

They’re all designed by jeweller, Lorenz Baumer, and to be honest I think they’re quite reasonable at £14.50 each. The lipsticks (bottom part) are £24.50 each and any old lipsticks (i.e. before April 2018) aren’t compatible with these new tops) but once you’ve got one shade you love, you can just chop and change as you please. I love the pink mock croc case. One of the little things, but it seems a thoughtful thing, that I like most about these is that they don’t roll around – they will sit flat so you can actually use the double mirror to check your eyeliner or whatever. You can find the whole selection at Feel Unique HERE but I don’t think they’re offering engraving. You probably need to pop into store for that.

I think if you like a very elegant, special lipstick from time to time, this is ticking those boxes – they’re beautiful and they feel very special.

I hate they have now no names on the lipsticks just numbers. I own a few of the older versions and yes weight very heavy. I spotted Gladys and Georgia now without names but just numbers and felt sad.

These are my favourite lipsticks. They go in so well, have a lovely shine, good red colours and the packaging isn’t just gorgeous but so handy too for reapplying. I rarely buy the same lipstick but I keep buying these over and over again.

  4. They look lovely! They would take pride of place on any vanity I think.
