The forthcoming (27th April) Eyes on MAC collection features six palettes with nine shades and two with 15. While the 15’s are nude and neutral toned, it’s the nines that are the most exciting. I really do like these little dots of colour – like canapes rather than the full dinner and some chance at least that they might get used up! £25 seems a lot though. I’ve got Tropical Cool here, but if you love a splash of pink, look out for Red Hot,
Shade names left to right are (top row): Fresh Blade, Bright Sided, Lemon Rush (midde row) Lady Grey, Neoprene Green and She’s A Model, (bottom row) Liquid Sky, Blue Envy and Grey Horizon. As you can see, they’re a mix of matte and shimmer.
To be honest, I don’t know quite how I’d put looks together from this, personally. I don’t think I’m brave enough for yellows but I know I could easily wear the greys. I guess part of the point of these is that they’re what you make them and what you’re prepared to experiment with. The formula gives a very smooth application, and they’re very bold colours: I don’t think MAC does tutorial videos with these but I wish they would – just a guide would be helpful. I’m not often stumped, but I am now!
There are, obviously, some much more wearable shades in the other Times Nine palettes and my inner magpie would pounce on Tropical Cool and find a way!

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
