Cosmetics A La Carte Bare Cheek

These transluscent gel blush compacts from Cosmetics A La Carte are brilliant if you like a sheer wash of colour. I’m a huge creme blush fan and Cosmetics A La Carte Bare Cheek falls into the gel (not quite) tint category – it really is just the merest hint of colour.

Shades here are Aurora (a shimmering pale violet), Papaya (specially picked out for me by the founder, Lynne, and she’s spot on.. I’m wearing it now) and Blackberry which is dark skin heaven in my book.

Consistency wise, Cosmetics A La Carte Bare Cheek feels silky – plenty of slip for blending – and they’re an absolute joy for sun kissed skin that only needs the merest hint of colour, or the very pale skinned for whom all blusher looks like a night on the bottle. Although you can use them on the lips, the wash is highly sheer, so I found that colour didn’t really show up very much at all but if all you want is a nuance, then it’s a green light on that. The Papaya shade is definitely a keeper for me – you can find them all HERE for £25. These are definitely a find – and good for older skin too, with a dash of Vitamin E and zero chance of seeping into creases. I’m kind of thrilled to have discovered them!

I am loving these cream blush recommendations! Have just ordered papaya. I wondered if you’d tried the Charlotte tilbury youth glow one? It’s my current favourite. Gorgeous shade and it lasts all day!
