If you’ve been blessed with the radiant sunshine that we’re having here in London today, then you’re probably in a spring mood and ready to turn up the colour. If that’s the case, I’d love to show you the Clinique Long Last Matte Lipstick in such a pretty pink shade, Matte Petal. It’s not quite a pastel colour – it has a bit more bite than that, but it’s certainly an ‘it’s not winter any more’ shade that’s lively and flattering.
If you’ve read BBB for a few years, you’ll know that the Kiss It Better appeal comes round annually. If you haven’t, I’ll do a brief recap. The Kiss It Better Appeal was founded by 12 years ago by Carmel Allen, former beauty editor, whose daughter Josephine was diagnosed out of the blue with neuroblastoma, a rare cancer than mostly affects children. Josephine, you’ll be happy to know, is now well and thriving, but at the time, neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers just weren’t as well funded or researched as they needed to be to give more happy outcomes like Josephine’s. JoJo was treated at Great Ormond Street and the Kiss It Better appeal raises money to fund research into both cause and treatment.
The full RRP (£15) for each Kiss It Better Lipstick sold throughout February goes to the appeal. The lipsticks (there’s another shade in Matte Magenta) are sold via houseoffraser.co.uk and in store with an additional £2 from every Clinique lip product sold throughout this month (£1 from Clinique, £1 from House of Fraser) going to Great Ormond Street.
