A cancelled meeting today means I’ve been able to play about with this collection and get it swatched up for you. I don’t think it’s the most adventurous collection we’ve seen, but there’s really nothing not to like. Chanel beauty is in a bit of a transitional stage after the departure of Peter Philips (now at Dior) and the arrival of Lucia Pica whose first collection for Chanel launches later this year. Of the six Aqua Glossamers launching for summer, I have two, above. The paler one is Sahara and the darker shade is Dzhari.
As you can see, they both have a little shimmer and Sahara has a milky finish. They’re shown here with the Long Lasting Eyeliner in Sable – a shimmering shot of gold.
Here’s a closer look at Sable, next to Le Volume Waterproof in Mirage.
Thank goodness for a bit of sunshine to show off the gleam from the Creation Empreinte du Desert Palette.
I’ve swatched the palette both in and out of the sun and still haven’t caught the intensity of sheen.
My favourite product from the Chanel Summer Beauty 2016 collection is in this picture! It’s Espadrilles – the amplified tomato shade that you see. I cannot wait to get it on my nails and it’s a huge trend shade (as you’ll see when I post more summer collections).
On the nail wheel, left to right: Canotier, Espadrilles, Garconne and Cavaliere.
The Chanel Summer Beauty 2016 collection launches on 27th May.
