I’ve actually never tried a Chanel powder before, so can’t tell the limited edition Chanel Poudre Universelle Beige Lumiere from any other. I tend to steer as far as I can from powders because they all (with the exception of Dior) make my skin feel dry.
However, this is an ultra fine powder that you need the tiniest, tiniest amount of to get a shine reducing finish and it’s very similar to Dior in feel – in that it doesn’t feel particularly dry. If you’re shiny and you love a powder to just ‘set’ your look, then it’s delicious (don’t use the puff, use a kabuki). Beige Lumiere is a radiance boosting shade.. I can’t say in all honestly my radiance was boosted! But my nose wasn’t shiny and I didn’t hate it. It’s in the keep drawer for further experimentation. Chanel Poudre Universelle Beige Lumiere launches on 18th September for £36.
