[purchase/affiliate] I’ve been away for a few days in Spain and usually when I go away I steer clear of anything beauty (I’m almost always lured in by Sephora if there is one though) but I passed a store selling Bourjois and couldn’t resist. I am still annoyed that Bourjois (sold by Chanel and bought by Coty in 2015) isn’t available in the UK any more – it seems to do fine everywhere else so I wonder what the decision making process was when Coty decided it couldn’t be here. I still miss it – brands come and go and everyone quickly forgets but I still feel annoyed about Bourjois!

It’s really not very easy to find for the UK – all the links I’ve looked at (including Notino) either have minimum order values to ship or have very limited shades. However, if you are venturing anywhere this summer, this new Healthy Mix variant is worth looking out for.

The Tinted Beautifier is a very lightweight skincare/makeup hybrid product that promises to even out the tone and give a healthy glow and gets the full tick from me on both counts. I’m even forgiving the ‘clean’ label but only because I’ve missed Bourjois so much. They’re using that label because the Vitamins C and E are from natural sources which even in a generous mood is shaky for the clean claim. However, it’s just one of those seamless bases that goes on like a dream, gives skin a lightly glowy, perfected look that’s just a tiny level up from sheer. The only negative I can see is that there is no SPF in it but that’s easily remedied by applying it first or using an SPF spray over the top.

Here it is on me – it’s shade 003 Light Medium. I can’t remember exactly the price but it was under EU10. Do you miss Bourjois? Or is it as forgotten as Coty hoped it would be?

Yes I am super annoyed too about Bourjois having left the UK market too Jane. I have used it a lot on and off since my teens (only 15+ years ago heheheehe) and was super cross Coty left it to rot. They have had some lovely items, eg a gorgeous advent calendar on the bourjois.fr website etc (and they don’t ship to the UK grrrrr) and haven’t succumbed to mega palettes the way some brands have.
They now have dedicated boutiques in Paris which look amazing. Anyway enough ranting. I hope you enjoyed Spain. This looks terrific on you, I’m in. My skin isn’t really enjoying menopause and I’m finding lighter type formula work better on it. Merci Jane xxx
It seems to thrive with exactly the same competitors abroad as here – so???!! Grr.
A million thank yous for posting an article on Bourjois (I do realise you can’t alas do this on a regular basis!!).
I love Bourjois foundation and was a huge fan of the Healthy Mix range.
You can buy it here in Italy although I’ve never found a particularly extensive range in the shops. Also available online, apparently.
You’re so welcome – Bourjois does great foundations!
I really miss Bourjois, as does my mum. It’s a brand I’ve used all my cosmetic life. I’m right at the end of my stash of CC Cream. Hoping they still have it in Europe so I can stock up there. Thanks for flying the flag for it 🙂
Thanks Mary – good luck finding the CC :-)))
I also miss bourjois- you can order it to UK via Amazon France. 🙂 hope that helps someone!
Thank you – that’s helpful!
Good morning, Imused to like Bourjois but it has not been available in Germany for years now. Imlove the mascaras and used to buy them in Netherlands in recent years. The foundation would tempt me if available. Have a great day. Sibylle
It’s really a lovely brand and yes, great mascaras!
Here, a tiny, independent chemist still had some stock. They’d reduced it by 50% so I bought all of the Healthy Mix shades 55 and 56.
The BEST foundation, ever. Really suits my skin.
I am furious with Coty. What a way to treat a heritage brand and loyal customers.
I feel an angry letter is due.

Oh well done for stocking up – it’s great isn’t it …. I fail to see why it couldn’t have been kept on-line even if not in stores.
Bourjois little pots of blush were great, as were the lip crayons. Best of all I liked their concealer with hyaluronic acid. I’ve still got a little bit left of my last one and will be v sad to finish it. Emma x
Yes they were, you’re right 🙂
I’ve found a small collection of Bourjois; here
