The two new shades in the Happy Glow collection from By Terry for spring are Bubble Glow (pink) and Nude Milky Way (off-white). The black shade you see is Matte Black which is a hard-to-get-hold-of shade that I tried last week and absolutely loved! So, I’m side-tracked a little from the lightness of the spring look by Matte Black which goes on as a cream and dries to a matte on the lid. I actually tried it while I was doing a Periscope (as close as I’ll ever get to doing my make-up on line!) thinking that I’d probably look silly, but oh my – there is something about this shade that is all of the inner rock chick without looking over-kill. It actually lasted all day as well (so I should hope at £29 a pop).

Back to Bubble Glow and Nude Milky Way – the latter is a useful pearly shade as a base and because Blackstar is known for its staying power, highly handy for everyday use. I like a creamy mix on lids because I think it can look softening, and didn’t find it exacerbated creases particularly. Bubble Glow is a pretty, baby pink with flecks of shimmer (it’s not a glitter-fest, don’t worry) and much as I love a pink for wakening up the eyes I can’t really think how I’d wear this in real life. Maybe I need a more spring-like day to feel for it properly *stares at lashing rain*.

Either way, I think the By Terry Happy Glow spring collection has a lot of prettiness to it, without requiring the user to make grand statements. Understated but light and airy is how I’d sum it up. You can find the new Ombre Blackstars HERE for £29 each.

Weird. The Space NK website is indicating Bubble Glow is the off white and Nude Milky Way is the pink, which doesn’t make sense to me.

I think it’s a mistake on their part. The name “Nude Milky Way” sounds like it’d be cream/white – not pink!
