[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] I ‘think’ I saw the skinny scarf revival on Instagram and suddenly had an urge for one – preferably in silver, but gold is very acceptable too. However, finding one was another thing entirely and I spent far too long looking for an ethical way to buy one. Temu will provide you one for under £2 but it feels wrong and I guess it is wrong because how is it at all possible that everyone down the chain is being properly paid for their work.
I then found one on Amazon for about £5 and it looks exactly the same but I still opted to pay more in the hopes that it’s a fairer distribution down the line. Probably not, but fingers crossed. But, there was nowhere, bar one on-line store selling one for £20 (which looked the same as the £2 and the £5 options) to buy one. So, with reservation, I love my skinny scarf and I’m ordering a silver one too [HERE]. I do not know why I ended up ordering gold when I wanted silver but here we are. Kate Moss is a skinny scarf advocate, as apparently is Katie Holmes – where do they get theirs from??
When Gucci discontinued my favourite ever lipstick – Renee Pink Baume – which I am still not over, little did I know that the best replacement for it was from – Gucci. Goldie Red Voile is the best red I know in its ability to suit just about everyone.
This is the red I can wear outside the house because I love the dewiness, the ‘voile’ texture which means it’s rather balmy and it’s not full on pigment so it doesn’t give a ‘blare’ of redness. It’s a soft red – warm – that holds to the lips beautifully and gives them a softened appearance. It’s the very top end of what I’m comfortable paying for a lipstick at £38 and I’d suggest you buy from the Gucci website HERE because it comes packed so beautifully and feels like the treat you need.
