Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip

One word for the new Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip*. YUM. Seriously, after years of drying mattes, it’s high time that we got our shine back and here it is in 14 glorious shades.

In case you’re worried that they’re ultra glossy, they’re definitely not. They’re described as a balm/lipstick/gloss hybrid so I think I would call them a liquid satin if you can’t imagine what that whole hybrid thing would feel like. The 15 shades are divided into Berries, Brights and Nudes and I have a mix of everything here.

As you can see, they’re giving plenty of pigment for full coverage without being intense coverage. So, in the swatch from bottom to top: Hippy Shake, Smoothie Move, Lychee Baby, Haute Cocoa, Give A Fig, Juicy Date and Cool Beets.

That first shade in the row of berries and brights is called Peach & Quiet and it’s my favourite. It’s the one I wore to test first, followed by Main Squeeze (coming up in the swatch) and they both (so I assume all) have a comfort feel. They’re not weightless but light enough that you don’t feel consciously that you have a coating on your lips. The main thing is that they last incredibly well – I’m notorious for disappearing long last lipsticks but these, without even a long last claim, stayed and stayed, and didn’t fade throughout the 2-3 hours that I had them on for. I’m impressed.

In the swatch above: Peach & Quiet, Mango Mood (another favourite), Cherry Crush, Bitter Sweet, Main Squeeze, In A Jam, Big Apple. They’re £19 each which doesn’t feel too steep (compared to the usual nudging £30 offerings) from this brand. You can find them HERE. ***
