I’ve a feeling this is going to be a many part thread – there is so much interest in beauty advents that I thought I’d just blog them as and when I either get them or see them. Starting with the Paul & Joe Advent above (£56) which is a beautiful thing although obviously priced at the top end. I’ve decided not to list all contents (unless the only images I can get show all contents) so I don’t spoil the surprises, but just give a couple of examples of content.
They’ve done quite a strange arrangement with this one – some windows are just illustrations, others are part of one piece – so for example, the little cat shaped eyeshadow (yes, I did squeak a bit because it is charming) goes into a little round pot (not cat shaped) that you get on another day. In total, there are 12 pieces that equate to 6 products when built. Look out for it from November but check ASOS the week before just in case.
The Benefit Advent Calendar, Benefit Girl O’Clock Rock, is a twelve door calendar with 12 Benefit best sellers at sample size. It sings. And it sings about boys – shy guy, sexy surfer, skater stud… sorry but I’m cringing. It’s like Benefit literally never heard of feminism or strong, independent young women.
There’s a value element – £68.46 worth of products for £34.50. It’s a Debenhams exclusive. On the plus, some of Benefit’s other seasonal offerings are beautiful – I’ll cover those a bit further down the line, but this is a big miss from me on the grounds that I’m not 12.
