bareMinerals Mineralist Lipstick Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Wow – so these bareMinerals Mineralist lipsticks pack a pigment punch! I wasn’t expecting them to be quite so powerful. These were sent in time for Valentine’s day but clearly I didn’t quite get to it but I think they’re indicative of the changing seasonal light and the gradual craving for colours that aren’t dark and deep.

Just as ‘fashion’ has told us that all those lovely floral dresses that make up such a part of our wardrobes are well and truly ‘out’ (what nonsense – keep wearing those flowers!) maybe it’s time for flower inspired make up instead. These are so spring-like and joyful just like the blossoms that (in the south) are just starting to appear.

This is Presence, a nutty neutral – I think it looks nicer in the photo than it did on me in real life but I very much like the creaminess which comes from sea buckthorn oil and olive oil.

This is Creativity – it’s rather a bold pink but I think my favourite of the three I have here. It’s perfect for sunny days and sunglasses.

Against expectations, I do actually like Wisdom. It’s got a lot of mauve in it so if blue undertones are what suit you best, this is for you. I’d reach for it on braver days but I think my hand would always go to Creativity first.

Anyway, they’re on offer for £18.95 (instead of £22) at Sephora HERE.

Hi Jane – I don’t think it always comes easy to you so wanted so say I really like it when you post pictures of what the lip products look like on. I’m often surprised at the difference between what I think the colour will be, and what it actually does look like. Cheers, Lisey
