bareMinerals Bare Naturals Palette

bareMinerals Bare Naturals Palette

I like a bareMinerals eye colour – the pigments are great, they’re always a smooth application and even if I can’t exactly notice, they contain a bit more than your average eye shadow in terms of skin care ingredients. Borage oil, caffeine and cucumber for soothing and smoothing. So, the bareMinerals Bare Naturals Palette is one moody array of colours. Apparently inspired by the landscape of Californian Coast, it reminds me of a Laura Mercier palette that was inspired by Paris in the rain. So, take with a pinch but don’t dismiss it as a versatile and useful colour collection.

It’s a mix of mattes, shimmers and sheens and I keep seeing this as two sets of six for some reason – it’s like two palettes in one with the first half pastel, ice cream shades and the second more vibrant and deep.

It’s versatile and is lifted out of the dull, neutral palette zone by Twilight, an iridescent blue that looks delicious pared with Couture.

The second row: Creme, Mixologist (sheen), Bewilder (shimmer), Hot Commodity (sheen), Couture (shimmer), Twilight (shimmer) and Blackout.

I’ve seen this for different prices across the internet – £39 at Boots and Fabled, but £33.14 at Escentual HERE.

  1. Is this a pretty cool toned palette?! Praise hand emojis all round! I haven’t bought an eye palette in years but this one is making me reconsider.

I think this palette does lean towards cool shades – which is a wonderful and pleasing alternative to all the highly warm toned nudes/neutrals that abound the makeup market place.
Love the mix of shades and finishes too. Twilight is just gorgeous. A lovely olive wouldn’t have gone astray either. I love bareMinerals palettes and if you are after a coolish one the Soft and Smokey, which is available at QVC is pretty good too.
