In theory, I love the Anna Sui Hair Chalks – two brightly coloured sticks of ‘chalk’ in a decorative tin. But, they failed to impress in practice which is very, very unusual for this brand.
Each tin (there are three beautifully illustrated tins) contains two chalks that are super bright with a waxy formula. I don’t mind a bit of hair chalking at all so opted to do a couple of strands in pink and another in green (from a different tin). My hair is mid-auburn and the colours just didn’t show up well enough for anyone looking not to think I’d brushed past something accidentally or even left a bit of soup in my hair! Added to that, they didn’t really last. It makes me think that you probably need light hair (including grey!) to get the most from these.
It’s just such a pity – perhaps I’ll give them another go – because this brand is bang on creatively with beautiful products usually that really go the distance on performance. The Anna Sui Hair Chalks haven’t launched yet but I will try again and if there is some art to it that I’ve missed and I can get a better result, I’ll post again nearer their launch date.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
