Woah – this new fragrance by Jo Malone is an absolute mood booster. There is so much joy in one spritz it’s practically medicine. In her own words, Jo says, “Over the past 25 years, I have created fragrances for for all kinds of reasons, but this one I created for myself.” Jo by Jo Loves is a very clean, precise and slightly sharp fragrance that at the first spritz immediately floods your senses with grapefruit notes. It’s instantly uplifting.
I have the same reaction to this creation as I did to Orange Blossom and again with Pomelo – it’s a wave of delight and I want to spray it everywhere! Mixed in with the predominant grapefruit notes are bitter orange, lime and spearmint over Guaiac wood and Cedar wood. If you love fragrance that feels like a happiness hit, this is it. It’s not the sort of scent that you’d expect to last the entire day; from memory Jo is all about regularly and often so you can enjoy it time and time again, and this is one where you would want to top up as often as possible. If you do decide you’d like to try it, keep it close by – wherever you are most often rather than tucked away in a cupboard. There is some last though – it goes creamy on the skin while retaining the grapefruit and bitter orange sharpness.
