Bvlgari Allegra Baciami Fragrance

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you love a floral amber fragrance and have deep pockets, Bvlgari Allegra Baciami Fragrance is a magnificent example of the genre. Actually, although price is no indicator of quality, I would say it smells reassuringly expensive and it’s something I would use for special occasions rather than a daily spritz.

The bottle, as well as being deliciously vibrant (keep it out of the sun for fragrance preservation but put it in the sun just to see the glorious light it makes), has a beautiful hand feel – it’s cool and smooth with the ridges acting as texture. If someone told me this was the new fidget spinner I’d go for it – it’s slightly mesmerising and hard to put down :-).

Alone, Baciami begins with a creaminess from gardenia and a smooth vanilla note that quickly mingles with the amber. There’s something a little powdery about it which I love but it doesn’t tip too far into sweetness. The surprise is what happens when you add the ‘magnifier’ – smaller, intense essences that act as amplifiers but of course, they can be worn alone. They come in these delightful bags (above) which feels like an extra surprise. The newest magnifier is Myrrh which isn’t something in a million years that I’d pick out for myself but it’s incredible.

Magnifying Myrrh brings notes of licorice and leather which, layered over the vanilla, gardenia and amber makes it deeper and more voluptuous – it reminded me somehow of being in Morocco. At first the myrrh takes over but the settle brings back the magnolia to become a warm, spiced harmony spliced with cream and syrup. Biamici is £140 for 50ml HERE and Magnifying Myrhh is £160 for 40ml HERE.
