If we’re giving out Beautiful Bottle awards, Dolce & Gabbana, take your gong! Their floral lid concept takes this fragrance next level on looks. It’s a floral gourmande fragrance, meaning that you get a heavy dose of cake-y sweetness thanks to vanilla, coconut and almond.
In terms of the flowery notes – it’s predominantly magnolia with neroli but wrapped in ylang ylang, frangipani and mandarin. If you’re drawn to gourmandes, this is definitely a box ticker but I noticed that after the initial vanilla blast, the next notes to really come through are the ylang ylang and frangipani which are beautiful. I would love to smell this with the vanilla taken out – for me it’s way too foodie and perhaps because of the name, I was expecting something much fresher and crisper. It’s £80 HERE.
