Summer Dresses

While I was in a sweaty heap yesterday on the train, I was thankful for the dress I picked up in Zara ages ago – I’m not a dress person really and I don’t have very many so there isn’t a big pool to draw from when hot weather strikes and I can’t bear to climb into my jeans again. It’s only July and we still have all of August and September to go so I’ve ordered a couple more – it’s really the tail end of the sales and all the autumn/winter stock is starting to come in to the shops so if you’re like me, a dress or two short of heat wave comfort, you need to strike now!

Reformation Dress

Cult US brand Reformation is known for sustainability and ethical sourcing and literally just landed in the UK this week at Browns. This one is £245 but I feel cooler just looking at it! Sizing goes from XS to L HERE.

Hush Washed Cotton T Shirt Dress

This is such a ‘me’ dress! A little bit grungy, a lot loose and comfortable – in fact, I find Hush sizing quite generous and roomy. Chuck a nice necklace at it and you’re all done – it’s £59 HERE. All but XL is in stock. It’s a John Lewis exclusive.

& Other Stories Dress

I have this dress and I love it! I wore it to a wedding and a MAC dinner a couple of weeks ago – it’s so light to wear and a little bit bonkers. It’s reduced in the & Other Stories sale but because of that only smaller sizes available – 8 and 10. However, it’s generous and if you’re a 12 you’d be fine with the 10. It’s now £43 from £79 HERE.

Mint Velvet Dress

Well, this is the easiest wear in the world. Super light and basically the least you can wear without being naked! It’s £109 and  goes up to a size 18 HERE.

ASOS Shirt Dress

Another super easy wear – I keep seeing people in this style and it’s given me shirt dress envy. 14 and 18 already sold out but other sizes still there. It’s a bit of a snip at £32 HERE.

Floral Print Tea Dress M&S

If you don’t like showing your arms these half sleeve, soft fabric tea-dresses from M&S are the ticket. It’s £25 HERE.

Mint Velvet Animal Print Dress

This might be more end of summer than peak August but if you like animal print you need to get on this now – it’s more or less sold out in John Lewis but I’ve managed to track stock to HouseofFraser where they have up to a size 18. It’s £119 HERE – I’m ordering!

Did I dream the earlier post about the beaded bags?! Where have they gone? I was about to buy one, they look fab.

It might have been an old post that flashed up – haven’t done anything recently on beaded bags x
