New Boots!

[purchase/affiliate] My birthday and Christmas are really close together so Mr BBB is usually asking what I’d like in mid November (we gave up on surprises when he bought me a giant leather bean-bags that apparently I’d said were quite nice when we were walking round a market together … I have no memory of even seeing it before and I imagine the scenario was him saying ‘those are nice’ and me saying ‘mm’ which he took as a green light to mean I’d be absolutely thrilled to accommodate it in my too-small-for-it sitting room….). I’d seen what I wanted for my birthday but nothing for Christmas so when I passed these Chelsea boots in M&S I bought them on the spot for him to wrap. I did a sneaky peek in the spare room for Instagram but thought I’d share here as well because they are just unbelievably comfortable.

Chelsea Boots

My friend Genevieve wears chunky boots all the time but I’d never seen the pair I thought would suit me. The upper is a soft, elasticated textile with a black/grey leopard print (weirdly, the description on the website calls them brown but I can’t see it – to me they are grey and black).

Boots

The chunky heel is lightweight – I don’t like heavy boots and I think that’s what’s put me off so far and as you can see there’s an elastic strip so they hold to the lower legs and don’t slip down.

Boots

I’ll wear them with either these flared leggings from H&M or with my black satin A line skirt and a chunky jumper but they’d be just as at home with black jeans or any midi dress. I’m also getting a Brodie Cashmere HERE sweater because I’m an addict and can’t help it. Incidentally, if you go to your nearest TK Maxx, there have been some Brodie sweaters there recently – might be worth a look. The boots are £75 HERE with all sizes still in stock from 3-8.

Oh dammit I nearly went into the Tottenham Court Road on Wednesday but felt too tired. Hope they’ll still be there next week! Thank you how exciting. I saw you featured on brodies stories 😀 that hoody is beautiful on you!

thank you! I didn’t see myself on Brodie stories so thanks for flagging that :-)) If you know your size, there are plenty on line – I’m a 5 and they fit true.
