[unpaid/affiliate/ad] We are – at last – scheduled some sunshine! I really haven’t done much summer wardrobe buying this year mainly because my WFH status doesn’t require anything fancy. My favourite outfit has been jeans and a white or pink linen top (both from H&M and I dyed the pink one myself) that I’ve just jazzed up with a less boring bag or two. I’ve got a couple of yellow bags and a neon pink one and they’ve been my go-to options. It’s such a good way to brighten up anything you’re wearing especially if you’ve been sticking to basics like me. So, based on the basics, I’ve done a quick round up of bags to elevate and summer-ize the go-anywhere linen tops and jeans combo.
H&M have great cheap and cheerful summer bag options – this is in the sale for £10 HERE. If you do end up at the beach, so much the better! It’s reduced from £22 and I have no idea why!
Boden is always an easy win for the bright and cheery – pineapples ahoy. This canvas tote is £36 reduced from £60 HERE and it’s my top buy for doubling as a shopper, a beach bag and a general cheerer-upper.
This is PVC (or similar – Ted Baker call it rather coyly a ‘wipe down’) and full of the joys. It’s £17 HERE reduced from £32 which I feel is a bit of snip for something that will withstand the rain, water bottle spills and leaky sanitizer.

If you want something a bit more lasting, Kate Spade has some great offers. This is the Loop Large shoulder bag reduced from £350 to £209 HERE. Other bright shades are red and pink with some neutrals as well. In fact, I could have done all of this post about KS bags because there are so many lovely ones but they’re more pricy than the others.
I’m suddenly rather wishing I had this neutral number myself – it’s all sold out at HUSH but John Lewis has it HERE for £40 reduced from £65.
If you don’t want to wait another moment, this is well priced at £19.99 on Amazon HERE and if you have prime you can have within 24 hours.
The main image picture is brand new in at Monsoon in a kind of reverse animal print – it’s from the Sew Sustainable range for £40 HERE.
