Patisserie de Bain Hand & Body Lotion

Well, I very much hope you have your sweet teeth in for these – the Patisserie de Bain Body Lotion selection is all about sugar.  You will really have to love your body products 100% foodie scented. I tried one of the Hand Cream versions of these in-store a week or so ago and whatever scent I picked to try was absolutely horrible. So, I put off trying the new Hand & Body lotion until yesterday. The two I’m showing you now are actually rather nice, so it can’t have been either Sugared Violet or Orange Crush.

The lotions themselves are on the thin side – you’d never put these as super hydrators or luxury lotions, but if you love a Parma Violet I think you’ll be thrilled with the little olfactory trail that Sugared Violets leaves on the skin. Orange Crush is more of an orange inspired Sherbet Dip Dab if I need to find its pick ‘n’ mix partner. I didn’t find the scents too long lasting either – that’s a good thing because you get the thrill of the sweetie hit but don’t spend the entire day smelling like you have a bag of Haribos in your pocket.

The other versions are Lemon Bon-Bon, Cherry Pie, Strawberry Cupcake and Cranberries & Cream. Being an early bird, I think the Patisserie de Bain Body Lotion collection would make a great Easter gift if there is likely to be too much chocolate rattling around. You should start to see these in Superdrug stores from the middle of next week.

I don’t know if it’s an in-store trial, but I’ve been buying these at the Holborn branch of Superdrug for the best part of year now. There is also an offer on the website at the moment to get a PdB gift with two skincare purchases which is a nice way to try the range without committing.

Hmm. I have the hand cream in Cherry Pie and bizarrely it makes my hands feel drier after I’ve used it! Much as I like Parma Violets I don’t think I’ll be in a rush to try this.
