Gatineau AHA Body Lotion Review

[unpaid/sample] One of my very favourite body lotions from years ago is the Gatineau AHA Body Lotion – my friend Hilary gave me a bottle of it and I was blown away by how smooth my skin became. It was in the day when AHAs were relatively new to skin care – not like now – so it was something of a revelation. I’d still advise, for the softest possible skin, using an AHA infused lotion to whip off dead skin cells and leave the fresher skin to gleam. I’d also say that if you’re using it in summer, you may need to be more careful with your SPF.

This one litre version is a bit of a snip at QVC at £46.98, and I quite like the fact you are set for at least the next few months although it’s a giant of a thing. The 400 ml is usually £45 so there’s quite a saving going on. AHAs are extracted from passion fruit and grafted with glycoside to prevent skin irritation – no idea how although I’ve tried to get my head around it – along with smoothing you will get a good blast of hydration from shea butter. The product does contain mineral oils but I don’t feel bothered about that. As I’m not a regular user of body lotion (supplements – although I’ve stopped taking those now) this is exactly how I remembered it so I wonder if the original formula from at least a decade ago has stayed the same? You can find it HERE at QVC. I wanted to find a smaller bottle on offer but there isn’t a better deal to be had than this.

  1. Hi Jane, just wondering if you have ever tried the Gatineau Golden Glow Gradual Tan? There are a couple of people I follow on insta who rave about it and QVC have an amazing deal on it right now, however the reviews on QVC are very mixed some love it others have sent it back. If it’s good I was thinking it would be a nice way to keep a it of colour over the winter months, love to hear your opinion, or any of your readers’. Thanks, Sue

I don’t think I have – I’m mad about Jimmy Coco self tan at the moment though – and you’ve reminded me to put some on 🙂
