Malin + Goetz Travel Size Beauty
I’m heading to a wedding this weekend – no, not *that* one – so these Malin + Goetz Travel Size Beauty bits and bobs couldn’t be more timely. Behind the scenes, ‘amenities’ as these tempting little sizes are known when they’re found in a hotel bathroom, is a very, very competitive business. I remember trying not to be more excited, on a press trip to launch a mascara, about the bathroom full of Clarins amenities than the actual mascara. If you’re on a hotel stay, it’s a bit of a thrill to find glorious goodies waiting for you. And don’t tell me you don’t always bring the sewing kit home. I’ve got hundreds and for someone who never sews, but is obviously expecting a marathon sewing emergency at any moment, it’s bizarre that they’re so tempting. But, if you’re expected to bring your own – because not every hotel/guest house/Air BNB offers anything more than a bar of soap, or you’re staying with friends and think it’s possibly a bit cheeky to pile into their shampoos, or even if you’re a jet-setter with a layover – having your own precious pots is just the extra touch to a stay away.
Easily bypassing any carry-on allowance is the Malin + Goetz solid Eucalyptus Deodorant – it doesn’t even count as a liquid. It’s their best selling product so if you’ve never tried it you’re missing a bit of underarm excitement! It’s £12 HERE.
The newest news on Malin + Goetz (honestly, such lovely, genuine and good people and I know that you like to know that about brand founders) is that they’re about to launch travel duos – so you can get the Grapefruit Cleanser and the Vitamin E Moisturiser together (£14), Rum Body Wash and Rum Body Lotion (£10), Bergamot Body Wash and Vitamin B BodyMoisturiser (£10) and my favourite, the Peppermint Shampoo and Cilantro Conditioner (£10). Peppermint shampoo, by the way, big or small, is a perfect hot weather shampoo – it’s so minty and leaves your head fresh and your mind clear – nice for hair too obviously! Full size, it’s £19 HERE.
Even the fragrances fit into the smallest of purses. You can buy a six strong mini set at the moment (I bought one last year for Mr BBB) that contains both the Shampoo and Conditioner above, plus Vitamin E Face Moisturiser, Grapefruit Face Cleanser, Bergamot Body Wash and Vitamin B5 Body Moisturiser. It’s £24 HERE which works out more favourably than buying the ‘twins’, but I’m not sure how much longer it will be around with the newer products on their way any moment, so if you want it, don’t delay. It’s also worth flagging up that if you shop from the Malin + Goetz site HERE you can order a completely free sample kit containing tiny size dark rum edp, rum body lotion, advanced renewal cream, revitalizing eye cream and recovery treatment oil. You can also add in 3 extra samples at checkout and it’s free! All of it. The only thing you pay is a £4 postage charge. There’s kind of no reason not to. Otherwise, I’ve listed SpaceNK as the stockist in case you have points.
