Lano Coconutter Body Milk

The biggest surprise about Lano’s coconut inspired body milk? Well, there are two. It’s not a milk and it doesn’t smell of coconut. I think a lot of people will buy this hoping for a proper tropical blast because of the name and the palm tree on the packaging so it’s really rather misleading. The most you will smell of this fragrance free body lotion is a kind of sweet, milky aroma. Not unpleasant, but not coconut. What it is full of is coconut oil alongside the brand’s selling point, lanolin.

To my mind, a milk is a light, fluid product and this is thick enough to be squeezed from a tube. I think their marketing department put some beauty trends in a bag, shook it up a bit, pulled a couple out and then just applied them regardless. When it comes to efficacy, of course it’s a delightful product – everything from this brand is – it’s hydrating, easily absorbed, perfect for sore, dry skin that needs releasing from tightness and flakiness but if you were hoping to be olfactorily transported to a gorgeous, sandy, blue-skied island, nope, that’s not going to happen. Obviously, if you hate the smell of coconut but still want the skin benefits from the oil, it’s your dream product! There’s also a 101 Ointment in this formula and a hand cream. They’re only just starting to roll out into stores with a set of the three products from Look Fantastic, HERE, for £23.
