[productsample/affiliatelink] I can see November on the horizon so I have a few more advent calendars to show you over the next couple of weeks. First up is the SpaceNK offering that has ‘advent’ nowhere near it, as it’s set out as a beauty library or anthology meaning that it bypasses any connotations with Christmas or religion – i.e. it’s making no assumptions about who buys or why they buy.
In fact, even the colours are only vaguely alluding to the festive season – and there’s nothing external implying gender either. It’s the most woke advent calendar of all time and I love it! As you can see, the ‘volumes’ are split into categories: Seasonal Stars, The After-Party, Ready, Set, Sparkle and All Dressed up so you have an indication of what might be in the boxes within.
The boxes themselves are ‘chapters’ so if you’re a book lover and a beauty lover, it’s the dream combination. Each box gives a little clue of what might be inside.
I don’t fully unbox advents – exactly what’s inside is fully available in the link – but it is nice to have a taster of the contents and I’m putting SpaceNK’s own picture of contents right at the bottom so if you don’t want to see, stop scrolling! I still think that the fun of advents is not knowing what you’re going to find. Am I old-fashioned? As you can see, there’s a little Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Face Primer, as well as a 111 Skin Brightening Mask.
And, a By Terry Lip Balm (full size). The contents are a mix of sample size and full sizes from brands that are representative of the SpaceNK store shelves – Fresh has just joined Space so you’ll find something from them, as well as Drunk Elephant, Lipstick Queen, Laura Mercier and Jo Loves, amongst many others. It’s a luxury buy at £195 but the contents have a value of £550. I think advents are where we all stock up on travel size products that see us through the carry-on restrictions for the entire year so in that sense, maybe it doesn’t seem quite such a spend. You can find it HERE. The picture of contents is coming up now so don’t go further if you don’t want to see!

The products are great, but for Christmas, I want a calendar that looks like it was made for Christmas with the name and the colors. I’m not comfortable with the renaming of things. They sell it for Christmas, it’s strange to name it differently. And for a decoration, I want a festive calendar, and these colors are too generic.
I love the amount of thought and effort that has gone into this Calendar and the quality of the brands inside.
Whilst I’m not the biggest fan of SpaceNK because of rude staff and ruder affiliate people, I do think this is one of the best advents for 2019.
