I love it when summer collections go all swimming-pooly – YSL Bleus Lumiere Summer 2014 has got that whole luxy infinity pool thing going on with splashes of aqua colour everywhere.
These are the kinds of colours that are hard to wear any season other than high summer, but add a splash of sunshine to them and they burst into life. I’ve picked out a couple of my favourite blue-hued items but Chic Profile has the full story HERE.
I’m trying to figure out a way to wear Bleu Celadon and Bleu Cyclades together because they complement one and other so perfectly. I’m just not as in to my nail art as I used to be but I think this duo is asking for a feature nail or different-colour-tips although I’m thinking that for bikini days, Bleu Cyclades on toes with Bleu Celadon on fingers would be all kinds of nice (and far less faff).
The YSL Bleus Lumiere Summer 2014 limited edition 5 Ombre Eyeshadow Palette in Bleus Lumiere is much easier to wear than a lot of the harsher blues I’ve seen for summer. And, blue and coral are made for each other for that Mediterranean smoulder that needs a hot sunset to set it alight.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
I love this collection; it seems more exciting somehow than many of the other summer collections with a little bit of unpredictability and plenty of sass. We’ll see it in stores in the UK from May.
