Wedge Boots For Autumn

I’m totally, and unashamedly, the early bird when it comes to autumn boots. I’ve missed out so many times on pre-winter runs so I start scouring new collections as soon as they hit. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know my annual boot search is painful – so lessons learned and I’m buying now! I love Wedge Boots For Autumn and winter – I don’t wear spiky heels anymore – too slow to walk in and too uncomfortable, so wedges are the perfect bridge between comfort and style. At 5ft 3 I need some height, but not at the expense of discomfort.

First up is the pair above are from Next and called Randed Wedge Ankle Boots. I love the subdued leather  – they’re not high shine (I hate things looking too *new*), and these are completely comfortable although I wish Next did more half sizes. These are £65 HERE. I’ll be wearing these with my usual black skinnies and chunky cashmere sweaters. That makes it sound as though I have hundreds of chunky cashmere sweaters – I wish! I have about 4.

Next up, my new Nike Dunk Sky High Wedges. These aren’t ‘sky high’ as implied.. they’re just a great amount of lift without feeling like you’re tottering! As I wear jeans so much, these seem like the perfect pair to brighten autumn up a bit – even though secretly, I’m a bit scared of the purple laces! They’re £85 at JD Sports HERE.

I know this is only the beginning of my winter wedge obsession! Are you an early bird seasonal shopper?

  1. I’m not an early bird shopper at all, drives me up the wall when you go into shops in March / April when it’s cold and they’re selling summer stuff! That being said I’ve bought a pair of I guess you would call them autumn / winter boots but I tend to wear things like that all year round.

I do like the look of the Nikes, if they didn’t have the heel my 16 year old self would have been all over those.

Oooh very nice! Style AND comfort, so a big thumbs up from me. In my book it’s never too early to buy things that take your fancy and, besides, items which not only look great but are practical too must be snapped up pronto! (It’s the law, don’t you know?!)

You could always put some black laces in the Nikes if you’d prefer. Depends what you’re wearing them with, I guess, but either way they’re fab 🙂

Purple laces are cool. My current pair of Adidas trainers have purple laces, and I wear them with pride.

Also, I agree with you on the half size thing. It would be nice if more shops had them. I often come up in half sizes as well.

  4. Cute ankle boots! I’m already looking at boots for fall too but I can’t seem to find any yet :/

I think the purple laces look great, they compliment the shoes and don’t look too outrageous~
