Mr BBB picked up this old glass bottle at a market today – I love that it still has the handwritten label. The label is still clear but the writing is so cramped. What I can make out is whatever was in it had to be taken in the quantity of one tablespoonful twice daily (hope it tasted nice..that’s quite a lot to glug down), it was signed off by an Mr or Mrs Hubbard. The label also reads with the Boots logo “Cash Chemists (Southern) Ltd.” It was dispensed in Southend on Sea in Essex.

i dig hundreds of these bottles, minus their labels sadly, date to between 1930 and 1950,this is a great example though having the original dispensary label, which is always nice to see on any chemist bottle or generally any old bottles.think its a 40s example.
