Unicorn’s Mane Smoothing Serum

Unicorn's Mane
Unicorn’s Mane

You have to kinda love this just for the name alone – and the blurb. Love the blurb even more. “Everyone knows that there’s nothing softer, shinier or more manageable than a unicorn’s mane. Seriously, when is the last time you saw a unicorn with dry, frizzy, flyaway hair?” Well, you know.. they make a good point.

I know the top question for Unicorn’s Mane is going to be ‘does it contain silicones’ and the answer is yes, it does, in the form of cyclomethicone and dimethicone, but I’ve never known a hair smoother truly smooth hair without silicones. Oils are Argan (always brilliant for hair), Amla Oil and Pomegranate Seed Oil. Oh, and a bit of fragrance.

I haven’t tried Unicorn’s Mane yet but I’m very tempted for the sheer fun of it – there’s nothing in here that makes me think it wouldn’t be a great hair smoother. Unicorn’s Mane is £16 at Urban Outfitters (they’re cheekily doing the direct $ to £ conversion, so if you’re in the US it’s a good deal cheaper at $16) HERE.

    It’s £25 now. :-\

€25! And it has the size listed as ‘one size’. No good, Urban Outfitters.

  4. Love the name! I agree I’d try it for the name alone. Although the ingredients sound very similar to other smoothing products I’ve currently got.

  5. Would it be so wrong if I got this purely because of the name??
