By Terry Dual Powder

By Terry Dual Powder

You want a setting powder or a matte look to your skin, but you don’t want to give up on glow? These dual powders from By Terry are both in one compact. The formula has I.M.C® which is Intensive Mimetic Camouflage that is adaptive to your skin tone – so in theory, they’re can’t go wrong powders. It’s really hard to say that I’ve seen this in action – I mean, you only need the lightest dusting of powder to mattify and I just can’t tell whether it has adapted or not because to my eye it was fine in the first place! The central core of highlighter is sparkly in a light and pretty way, not chunky and it doesn’t seem to stray (remember when you put highlighter on your cheek bones and two minutes later it was all over your face?). My only problem with this multipurpose product is that I think you need a different, smaller brush for the highlighter than the powder, unless you’re doing an all over blend of the two.

In terms of texture, easily one of the softest powders you’ll find – it’s silky and also a bit moist feeling. At £38, you’d hope it’s performing at the top end, and it is. You can find it HERE. Swatches are below but bear in mind that they’re swatched to show the colour strongly (so you can see it!) – once it’s diffused, it’s not as intense.

Usually, By Terry products are highly perfumed – it’s not the case with these though.

I actually bought the no7 Sun Desire in SpaceNK yesterday. The SA said you can use as a bronzer, blush or even eyeshadow if you chose, so that is why I bought. I use By Terry Hyaluronic(sp) loose powder anyway.

Hi Jane, how would you say they compare to the sun designer palettes in texture, I have light and tan vibes and tan and flash cruise and the colours look similar.

Yes, they’re so similar.. you would be more or less doubling up x
