[unpaid/ad/samples] The trouble with nobody sending press releases any more is that there are often questions with no answers. So, I am not clear whether this has already launched or whether we are still waiting, in the UK, for Suqqu Spring 2020 to launch. I am taking all my info from the UK Suqqu website which first suggests that it’s ‘coming soon’ and then suggests that it it has launched but I can see very little sign of it on either Selfridges or Harrods. So, it’s anyone’s guess!
First up, this delicious blush (119) which appears precisely nowhere, but there is a cherry coloured version that does at least appear on the UK Suqqu website (unshoppable).
I’m really a fan of a coloured mascara – this purple version (there seems to be a green as well) actually built up to a very distinctive shade and wears extremely well (make sure you take off thoroughly – I have vague purple tones around my eyes this morning that are giving a bit of a major hangover look!). I like Japanese mascaras in general and in particular their brushes which are shaped so well to give every lash a chance of being covered.
The wand you see belongs to Glow Touch Eyes in 08 – a lightful, semi-metallic wash for lids in a peachy beige shade. Behind the colour are tiny, tiny sparkles that elevate the shade into just a lovely star burst effect.
The spring shades for lips in the Vibrant Rich format are all peachy toned – not for you if these warmed oranges aren’t in your spectrum but deliciously soft on the lips with a light catchy gleam. This collection only fully makes sense when you see it on the Suqqu site where it looks rich and gorgeous below and you can understand the origami references.
My pick from the collection (if you can find it) would be the mascara and the Glow Touch.
In the swatch, it’s Maishizuki (08), Koukyokuiro (108) and Fukakuchinashi (04) for lips, the Glow Touch and lastly the blush. Let me know if you track it down!
